Slow watchapp

Slow is a minimal, power-efficient 24-hour single-hand watch application for Pebble smartwatches, inspired by Classic Slow Watches. It is engineered with a custom state-machine architecture to maximize battery life by eliminating unnecessary screen redraws and utilizing ultra-low power standby modes.

1. 24-Hour Single Hand Dial
  • Experience time naturally with a single 24-hour hour hand traversing the full daily cycle.
  • 4 Face Types:
    1. Black / Sky
    2. White / Sky
    3. Red / Black
    4. Blue / Black
2. 3D Angle-Aware Dynamic Seconds Mode
  • Toggle on Demand (DBL UP CLICK): Enables active 1-second second-hand tracking.
  • Wrist-to-Face Spatial Mathematics:
    • Uses Pebble 3-axis accelerometer with integer 3D spatial calculations (isqrt, atan2_lookup).
    • Active Viewing: While looking directly at the watch (Pitch: 15° ~ 75°, Roll: -35° ~ +35°, Tilt <= Selected Angle), the second hand moves smoothly every second.
    • Zero-Power Auto-Standby: When turning wrist away, lowering arm, or resting face-up, the second hand instantly disappears and screen redraws stop completely, saving CPU and display power.
    • Instant Resume: Returning to the viewing angle instantly restores the second hand.
  • Configurable Viewing Angle: Choose from 5 angular ranges in Settings (45°, 50°, 55°, 60°, 65°).
3. Blank (Deep Sleep) Mode
  • Pressing Single UP Click enters Blank Mode.
  • Completely unsubscribes Tick Timer service and Accelerometer data stream.
  • Takes advantage of Sharp Memory LCD’s zero-power static display for 100% MCU Deep Sleep.
4. Smart Alarm & Quick Pomodoro
  • Interactive Alarm Screen: Adjust alarm time with auto-accelerating hold keys and visible dotted target marker.
  • Quick Alarm (LONG DOWN CLICK): Instantly triggers preset countdown timer (1 ~ 45 min).
  • Persistent Pebble Wakeup Integration: Alarms wake up the watch even if the app is closed.
5. Auto-Respawn (Keep-Alive)
  • Single BACK Click (Temporary Exit & Auto-Respawn):
    • Closes the app and automatically schedules a background Wakeup event to re-launch Slow after the configured delay (Respawn Delay, default 90s).
    • Allows quick checking of notifications or system menus while retaining always-on watchface accessibility.
  • Double BACK Click (Complete Exit):
    • Cancels the scheduled wakeup and completely quits the application.
  • Settings Menu Integration:
    • Auto-Respawn: Enable or disable the keep-alive auto-launch mechanism (Yes / No).
    • Respawn Delay: Configure the background re-launch interval (15, 30, 60, 90, 120 seconds).
6. Bluetooth Disconnect & Battery Protection
  • Bluetooth Loss Alert: Vibrates and displays warning overlay when phone disconnects.
  • Battery Limit Ring: Visual warning ring alerts when battery is outside configured limits.
  • Flip to Mute: Turn watch upside down to immediately silence disconnect or alarm vibrations.
